Oh dear, I'm in trouble!

 Although these pics of Ry are a couple months old, this is the expression on her face yesterday when she said to me.....We were watching When in Rome (note to all, I realize this was a mistake) with Josh Dumahal or however you spell it. Anyway a kissing scene comes on and Rylin say, "I wish Daddy looked like that. (I know I'm biased, I think Trent is actually better looking but I couldn't hold back the laughter) What? I say, don't you think Daddy is handsome? "Yes I do," she says, "but hehe I just like doing that!" AAAAAAAHHHHHH! WHAT?! Quickly she backpedals, well, I don't like doing that but, well, remember my friend from my old school....Aidan? He was my best friend, and I miss him." (mind you, Aidan is the little boy she got in trouble for kissing!!!!!) Yikes people! I'm in trouble! She denies this story already as she hears me telling her father!

 All I can say is, with a face like this, (above) what am I going to do? Solution? Post this one (below) at the front door for the next 15 years!

Now that I've caught up on the big events this summer, here are some random amusements from our life...I encourage the girls to make their own beds.  This serves two purposes, they're learning to do it right, and I can't help my enjoyment of just how it turns out.

Mika-Lee turns 6!

Mika was in an off year for her birthday in that she did not get a party this year....however, she was still spoiled! I will try to post the footage of her on her fabulous new scooter she totally adores! This picture however is with her new pet giraffe and baby tiger...the girls decided they had the perfect makings for a zoo and asked me to please take their picture so it would look like they were in a cage! So funny, how did I do? Believe me, we are in a zoo 24/7! Sadly Mika wasn't too thrilled with her music stand from Mom and Dad this year, sucks to be the parents and have to buy the boring but necessary items!

A trip to Jackson Hole

For a fun family trip this year we were able to go to Jackson Hole with the entire Mike and Sandi Hendry family(minus the CA Hendrys). It was a great time! As always the kids LOVE to swim!

For Rylin's birthday this year, she wanted to have lunch at Chuck E. Cheese's. Then she took some friends to Color Me Mine where they decorated their own plates before going to Frogurt for their own masterpieces of ice cream. We ended the fun filled day at the rodeo.

Cache's Blessing

It was a beautiful day! But as for pictures...this was the best we could get, sad I know. He actually was an angel and it was so nice to have everyone come out and support us. We ended up blessing him really young on the 4th of July, because every other fast Sunday was booked until October. We figured 3 weeks old was better than 20 pounds, it worked out great!

4th of July Celebration

Last year we started a new tradition of going to Oakridge Country Club with Mike and Sandi for the fourth. It is one of my favorite things to do, it feels just like what you expect to see in the movies for a 4th celebration. The food is great, the hula hoop contest is a highlight, Trent event won this year! The things a dad will do for a crying child! Of course the kids love the face painting and frankly so do I. The transition from girl to "saber tooth tiger" this year was hilarious! Rylin really gets into the make-up!
