Easter at Grandma Cheryl's

Easter at Grandma Cheryl's brought the girls new swimsuits, can you tell how much they loved them? The little posers!

It also brought a favorite Easter egg hunt!

Why these little girls think it's a great idea to have an Easter egg hunt in their new swimsuits on the 28 of March is beyond me....it wasn't warm! They didn't seem to care though, they had a great time!

Boys with guns

I love how all of our families are so different, here's an example of the fun Trent has with my dad and brothers...not exactly golfing or remote control trucks.  They all got their concealed weapon permit a bit ago and all the boys in my family have a gun except Trent.  He just has the permit to carry one, nevertheless they spent one Saturday morning pretending they might need one one day,
and exercising their right to bear arms! Go boys!

How to Train Your Dragon

Something you should know about Mika-Lee, she invented a game at school.  It has been adopted by quite a group of the kindergartners and they have been playing this game for months, I honestly don't know when it started. The game is DRAGONS! I had no idea she had such a love for dragon, not that I am surprised mind you, but she came up with this on her own. From what I gather it's a variation of tag, they have dragons who of course can fly and their job is to protect their eggs from the humans who try to steal them. One day she came home and told me, "Mom, I broke my wing today when I jumped of something but don't worry, I can still fly!" Thank goodness right? Anyway this game has been growing, I hear them talk about it when I work in her classroom, it's hilarious! So, when we started seeing the trailers for How To Train Your Dragon...we knew it was a "must see" for Mika. We went opening day with Grandpa Steve and my brothers. It was great! Mika loved every minute and picked up quite a few tips from the movie, she told me, "remind me when I go back to school to split up the dragons....we've been attacking all wrong." Is she going to be one of those Dungeons and Dragons people? YIKES!
